Why do dogs shed?
Hair loss in dogs, called shedding, is a natural process that occurs every spring and fall and allows the dog to adapt to changing weather conditions. Spayed or neutered animals also tend to shed due to hormonal imbalance. While brushing does not remove all of the hair loss, it is an essential grooming operation to recover a large amount of hair and dander throughout the year. Our brushing tool also comes with a handy push button that allows pet owners to get rid of the collected hairs without having to pull them out of the comb teeth!
How the shedding cycle works
Dogs, like rabbits and cats, go through a 4-phase shedding process:
The growth phase - this is the phase when the hair begins to grow from the follicles
The regression phase - this is when the hair reaches its full length and stops growing
Resting phase - when the hair becomes weak and dies
The shedding phase - when the dead hair falls out and is replaced by new hair
How to shed pets?
For best results, the pet owners should only brush their dogs after they have washed and dried the coat thoroughly. Then, they can follow these 3 steps for an easy and safe brushing:
Inspect the pets thoroughly and untangle any knots with the comb. If the pets has bruises, sores or any other skin problems, consult a veterinarian before using Advanllent grooming tool.
Use our brushing and grooming tool the same way the pet owners would use a regular dog comb. Start with the head and gently move the brush in the direction of hair growth. Special attention should be paid to the genitals and anus when brushing.
Once the brushing and shedding operation is complete, simply press the push button to remove the hair from the teeth of the comb. Advanllent grooming tool can be used for 10 to 20 minutes, once or twice a week depending on the degree of hair growth and the intensity of shedding. Do not use if the pet has sensitive skin.
